Henry Ford Estate Interpretation

Here's an interesting and important new heritage project. I have been asked to provide interpretive planning consultation for the Henry Ford Estate. Ownership of the estate has been transferred from the Univ. of Michigan to the same folks that manage the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House (Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan). They are looking for innovative ways to "reinterpret" the estate.

  1. Hello: I am interested in your work with the Henry Ford Estate. My grandfather was the ground's keeper for Mr. Ford. He and my grandmother lived in the 'architechs cottage'. I would like to know if the cottage is still there or if photos of it exist that I might have copies of? Also, if anyting in the property archives referes to my grandfather: Frank Henry (or Henry Frank) Fukalek. Though I grew-up in Michigan, I now reside in Arkansas. Thank you for any info you may be able to provide. ~Christine Beems, gozarks@gmail.com
